Thanks for sharing this great Clem Burke interview clip. He always seemed like a friendly, down-to-earth guy from the clips I’ve seen over the decades. As a percussionist, I’ve always loved his unique, syncopated style.
I’m honored to find your stack! Although I didn’t know him well I saw him at a lot of gigs in L.A through out the 80’s and 90’s. He was really into seeing cool bands in my case bands during the paisley underground and then the britpop phase. I even ran into him at a Tom Petty show. A true legend and music lover. He always would say hello to me and my friends. Such a loss. I’m glad you had the experience to chat with him. I really love Alejandro Escovedo. I met him around 2009, I was dating one of his old best friends from the Mabuhay days. He invited us backstage and I sat and listened to them catch up from their punk days. He’s another one of those good souls.
